A Low, Low Budget Western
I’ve always wanted to make a (low budget) western. This tomfoolery all unfolded outside of 70-mile house on a ranch called the Flying U, which is in fact, Canada's oldest continuously running ranch. With this little piece of history comes a place with a movie set built right in. A jail, a movie theatre and of course, a quaint little bar with excellent wallpaper. Also, creaky floorboards, a jukebox, an old poker table one of those swinging doors the primal part of you just wants to kick open. It didn’t take much to convince these women (and one fine gent) that making a film would be a very good idea. Another win for the handicam.
